Great apartment in the heart of downtown Papeete
La Orana! We had a great stay here at Fare Javouhey and really liked this city Apartment in the heart of Papeete. Three American guys were in for the weekend, and the apartment fit us perfectly. This place is nicely air-conditioned. We walked with our baggage from the Ferry dock in Papeete using the Cathedral du Notre Dame as a marker, and It was relatively easy. The only difficulty we had was finding the exact apartment, but our Host, Christophe, met us quickly, taught us the entry system and layout, and showed us locations of interest on a map; after that, it was smooth sailing. He is a great host. The rooms and baths are exactly as advertised, well-furnished and very clean. The outside patio was a great place to hang out and look out on the City. The full kitchen, laundry facilities, and air-conditioning were very much appreciated. Thanks for the great television, and I used the desk area, which is a great touch. The building was quiet and uncrowded. The excellent location makes walking around the promenade and visiting different sites very easy. We also efficiently arranged a vehicle at AVIS to drive around this big island. It’s true what everyone says: this is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. We loved Taharuu Beach. We just walked around this lively City every night, which was great. The “Heiva” at Place To’ata in July was just an amazing, unique experience, as was the fantastic food and atmosphere throughout the city. Merci, Christophe, we will come back!
